Baby blankets are the sweetest things in life. And that is especially true if they used to be your child’s. There’s just something so innocent and so peaceful about baby blankets. And the way that they make me feel speaks volumes. I still have not thrown out the baby blankets of my children, even though they’re teenagers by now. I just never want to forget that part of my life because it is a time in your life that makes you feel so important.
When I buy baby blankets for my friends I will always make sure to go that extra mile. I really don’t think that you should cheap out with blankets because if you do then they will not last very long. If you buy cheap ones they won’t last as long because they could get torn and worn out pretty quickly. I know a couple that bought some cheap personalized baby blankets because they are in a tough financial situation and they regretted it. The blankets would tear quite easily whether from use or from constant washing. And they had to be replaced quite often too. This is why it is a great idea to spend that extra bit of money on quality blankets, because you won’t have to replace them as often because they are made much better. You also don’t want cheaper blankets up against your baby’s skin because it can be uncomfortable for them and it can cause them irritation. If you spend the money you will be glad that you did because they will be so much better for your baby. I am glad that I have because years later I still have them all intact and looking brand-new. I took good care of them and made sure to buy quality ones. And because I did, they will last a long, long time.
I have not yet decided what I will do with the blankets. Maybe I will give them to my children’s children, or maybe I will just hang onto them for the memories. But whatever I decide to do with them the at least I know that they will last until the day that I decide to use them. Remember that if you shell out the extra dollars now it will save you money in the end. And it will also give you piece of mind.
